To answer this question, we pit the Yaris against the reigning Indian Car of the Year, Verna, and find out if Toyota has a game changer in their hands.

In this power-packed issue, our editor finds out how special Jaguar Land Rover’s Range Rover Sport SVR and Jaguar F-Type SVR are, especially in the case of the latter, how addictive its exhaust note is. For all you environmental friendly technocrats, Dhruv also got his hands on the new flagship Range Rover Autobiography P400 Plug-in Hybrid and he just couldn’t stop gushing over its seamless and over-enthusiastic electric powertrain.

This month was also the launch of many new variants like the Mahinda XUV 500, which gets a third makeover, while Tata has decided to launch the Nexon AMT, making it the first in the segment to offer AMT transmission in both petrol and diesel models. Ford, on the other hand, entered unchartered crossover territory by launching the Figo/Aspire-based FreeStyle.

On the two-wheelers front, the Indian Scout Bobber takes on the Triumph Bonneville Bobber as we find out which one has the ultimate statement on the road and makes you look and feel a million dollars. Muller had been taking the heat for the diesel scandal, and has steered the VW Group through some pretty stormy waters while delivering impressive numbers. He’s now succeeded by Herbert Diess, a former BMW executive known for his no-nonsense management style.
