In other news, Elon Musk announced the 2017 release of the Tesla Model 3—and it’s going to be available in India. Musk said the company got more than 250,000 orders, giving the wags on Twitter plenty of fodder, including this: “Tesla launches the most successful Kickstarter ever.” Meanwhile, more traditional car companies, notably the 100-yearold BMW, are gearing up to meet a future that is likely to focus on nonpolluting engines and driverless cars.
