Hello and welcome to the first 2015-16 edition of your Everton magazine…

I’m sure the summer breaks are getting shorter and shorter! It doesn’t seem five minutes since the last game of last season and here we are, on the eve of the opening fixture of 2015/16 against Watford.

In between I have had the pleasure of accompanying the team on the tours of Singapore and Scotland – and both trips are well covered in your August magazine. So, of course, is Duncan Ferguson!

The big man thoroughly enjoyed his testimonial against Villarreal and our photographer was alongside him throughout the day to capture plenty of exclusive images.
Duncan shared his special day with so many people and we’ve captured the celebratory atmosphere of what was a terrific Everton occasion.

Elsewhere, there wasn’t much downtime up in Scotland for the players but we still managed to chat to Gareth Barry about the historical sporting surroundings that the players were based at. Not many football interviews will take place at the course that staged The Open golf championship a few days earlier!

From golf to boxing and Tony Bellew brings us up to speed on what’s on his horizon, as well as offering his opinion on our new season prospects. As always, he shoots from the lip and anyone who disagrees with his views is welcome to challenge him!
