Welcome to issue 147 of The GameOn Magazine!
Set off the fireworks, it’s a New Year, so we hope
you’ve decided on your resolutions! Myself, I resolve
to try new genres of games! An easy thing, right? Well,
we’ll have to see won’t we? Of course, we’ve not just
been drinking and partying, we’ve been busy playing
some of the best, and not so best, games of 2021!
Our articles this month cover things from Kingdom
Hearts III to Pokémon, and we’re celebrating
anniversaries for six different IPs! Star Wars: The Old
Republic, Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, and
the PlayStation Vita amongst them! But, of course, we
have the regular articles like So I Tried and Game
Over, as well as Is It Any Good?
The preview section shows off some games that are
coming soon, as well as one that’s recently released
into Steam’s Early Access. We also have a bunch of
previews based on closed beta events we took part in
recently! So make sure to check out our thoughts on
Dragon Ball: The Breakers, Babylon's Fall and Elden
Ring!
Finally, our reviews are (almost) all for good games,
with Time Loader, Bright Memory: Infinite and the
remaster of Corpse Party leading the charge. You can
see on these very pages one of the AAA releases
reviewed, and no doubt spotted Forza Horizon 5 on
the front cover. If you didn’t, don’t feel bad, most car
games look the same to me, too, but do they handle
differently?
