In this issue

Welcome to issue #81 of the GameOn Magazine! The weather has finally improved (except for today’s rain, the showers in the week and that thunderstorm…), so it must be June! We’ve got a fantastic issue for you this month, with 24 reviews most of which scored over 7/10, nine are even higher than 9/10!

First off we have a bunch of articles about a whole range of topics, from games to studios and even narrative concepts! I even took the opportunity to rank the Saints Row games in order of awesomeness - in an unbiased way, of course. We have Calum talking about what devices Doom doesn’t (currently) run on, James talking about what he wants from the upcoming Pokémon games, and Owen explaining how he’s not too impressed with the Ratchet & Clank remake. We also have some more down-to-earth subjects, with Emsey discussing how gaming affects depression for better or worse, and Alex wonders about the types of storytelling.

We have more, but why would I talk about those when I could fill a paragraph with the interviews we have this month - with more to come in July and August! If you’re curious about The Solus Project, which has just launched on consoles after a successful PC release, Sjoerd De Jong, the Creative Director, spoke to us about it.

Jason Kingsley, CEO of Rebellion also took the time to answer a bunch of questions about Battlezone 98 Redux (reviewed this issue), and the upcoming Battlezone for VR. Finally, game designer Andrea Keil agreed to answer our Transocean 2: Rivals (also in this issue) questions, too.

But I’ll finish talking about reviews in a moment.....
