Welcome to issue 167 of The GameOn Magazine!
We’ve had some sad news that we wanted to let our loyal readers know. Our Editor-in-Chief Steve Greenfield passed away suddenly in July 2023. This came as a shock to his family and our entire team, who in some cases had spoken to him a matter of hours earlier. His passion and drive made every issue of GameOn the joy it was to both create and read, and we will continue publishing in his memory.
Our articles this issue include a look at culture, hating and loving a game, and the usual tips, So I Tried, and Game Over. There’s also a look at meaningless interactions, and why there should be more of them in gaming. Then, we have an interview with the developer behind Ruffy and the Riverside!
We’ve got a handful of previews for some titles in Early Access, six of them to be exact! Join the vestry in Priest Simulator, talk a walk down to the Havendock, or do some bird watching in Ravenswatch. Okay, I might have forgotten what that last game was and just wanted to include bird watching.
Finally, our reviews include Violet trying to make Smushi Come Home and Alana jumping in her Armored Lab Force VulVEHICLES. Alyssa visited the Nova Lands, Artura lept on Mr. Run and Jump, and Mike got dirty with Offroad Mechanic Simulator. You’ll have noticed the cover already, so you also know that Bex proves there’s always more with Final Fantasy XVI!
