BAM! And just like that it’s time for the May issue. With many of you racing already (if you don’t have winter) and many of you gearing up for the new race season, the features in this issue are enough to get your motor runnin’!

As the Williamsport, PA native told us, Matthew Lantz was making passes before he was even born; his mother raced in the Mother’s Day race at Beaver Springs Dragway while pregnant with him.

THE PUMPKIN – Billy Heinemann gets back in the Fox-Body game with his “Pumpkin” Mustang. For those of us of a certain vintage, we enjoyed a wonderful, exhilarating time when 5.0 liter Mustangs ruled the land… They seemed too swarm the streets and the performance aftermarket exploded with new products to make them sound better, and go faster.

MINI BUT MIGHTY – Toua Vang’s MR2 packs a 1,000 whp punch! Inspiration for car builds can come from just about anywhere… Sometimes, it’s a relative or friend’s car. Other times it’s something you see on the street or track. For Hickory, NC’s Toua Vang, it was a YouTube video where he saw a Honda K-series engine-swapped Toyota MR2.
