The Harley Electra Glide has been around for 50 years so we paired a beautiful 1965 model with a 2015 Ultra Limited to show the difference five decades makes. We've also tested the HD Street Glide CVO, Ducati Diavel Rosso, Triumph Thunderbird LT and Yamaha's Stryker Bullet Cowl.
We spent days in the saddle in SE Queensland and New Zealand's north island as well as a trip to Robertson for a pie or two.

The biggest news is the all-new Harley-Davidson Milwaukee Eight engine. Or the M8, as we prefer to call it. Mick rode it at the world launch in the USA and came away with a smile. He reckons that it’s good hanging out with M8s. Sandbag has ridden the Royal Enfield Classic 500 and the Moto Guzzi V9 Roamer. Paul Bailey scored the Harley-Davidson Ultra Low. Mick also got to ride the Victory Octane and TC Custom Bikes Street 500 learner trike. Paul also claimed the long-term Triumph Thunderbird LT from Sandbag. Getting out and riding is what we do so we went to the Bankstown Custom Motorcycle Show, the international Boulevard Rally, and also spent a Day in the Saddle just west of the Blue Mountains.

Victory’s HIgh-Ball is just one of the amazing cruiser tested this issue. We’ve also got a report on two of Harley—Davidson’s new S-Class hot rods: The Softail Slim S and the Fat Boy S. In an Australian-exclusive, this issue, we rode the Can-Am Spyder F3, we tested the Victory Magnum and liked what we found. Australia’s shortest road tester rode Harley-Davidson’s all-new Street 500, we also tested the Kawasaki Vulcan S, Suzuki S40, Triumph Commander and Harley-Davidson Low Rider. 

Getting out and riding is what we do so we went to the 2015 HOG Rally in Tamworth on Harley’s Road King, and also spent a Day in the Saddle in New Zealand’s South Island. 

Closer to home, we checked out Moto Guzzi’s 2015 California range, the Gold Coast Cruiser Club and found time to start sorting out our Yamaha XV1900’s suspension.

Issue #7.1 includes road tests of cruisers and trikes that have been ridden and tested by experienced Australian road testers. There’s no rewriting of press releases here. We tested the all-new Indian Scout in New Zealand and liked what we found. Back home, we tested Harley-Davidson’s all-new Street 500. As well as that, we went out and tested the Kawasaki VN900 Classic, H-D Road Glide Special, Victory Gunner, H-D Road King Classic and the Can-Am Spyder ST-S. And, because we love to ride, we spent A Day in the Saddle on the way to Victor Harbor for Spyder Royale and after we got back from that, we joined in for one of the Yamaha Star Rides. There were trikes at Bathurst and we've captured the images as well as an S&S-powered Bon Trike. All of this plus heaps more in the latest Cruiser & Trike!

New bikes tested include Harley-Davidson Street Bob Special, Honda F6C Valkyrie, Yamaha XVS650 LAMS Bobber, Honda CTX1300, Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special and Ducati’s Diavel Carbon Dark. We’ve also got the first Australian road test of the amazing Boom Mustang ST-1 automatic trike. Breaking cover in this issue is the all-new Can-Am Spyder F3 and we have a closer look at Harley-Davidson’s 2015 CVO range.

Our Project Nuts & Bolts receives a final farewell before we hand it over to the lucky winner. The biggest ride this issue is A Day in the Saddle from Warrnambool to Sydney. The Indian Motorcycle Museum in Brisbane is looked at in detail as is Sydney Dyno. The Cruiser Club of SA went to Mannum and we’ve got the pics and story on that ride.

Cruiser & Trike 6.5 includes road tests of cruisers and trikes that have been ridden on Australian roads by experienced Australian road testers.

The biggest ride this issue is the Aussie Hardarse Association 1600km in 48 hours Challenge. Plus we take a ride down through northern NSW and follow the north coast back the Queensland border on an Indian Chieftain.
