Welcome to the 22nd Edition of Trophy Hunter…. It’s Finally Here.
Firstly, we would like to apologise for this edition being late to press and to the newsstands. There have been a number of factors that have affected this magazine getting out on time. The first and probably biggest factor is that I have taken a new job in the big smoke.
As a self-publisher the buck stops with us… pardon the pun!
Both Halena and myself have had to undertake some big changes, running two separate households and a young family with three kids, the pressure has really been turned up. As most of our readership would know we also produce the Australian Deer Hunter magazine so I guess it really is a bit of a snowball effect when things become as full on as they are at the moment.
There will be some major changes with Trophy Hunter. Instead of being a quarterly magazine that is published every three months, we will move to an annual once a year publication. We would rather change the frequency of Trophy Hunter magazine than see it stop. We have put a lot of years into it and the publication has grown to now host a very large readership. Our technical writing staff now circle the globe as does our readership. Trophy Hunter has come a long way and is now available on all digital mediums through Magzter.
I still remember how I hatched the Trophy Hunter magazine. It was October 2010 and I was sitting at a restaurant with my wife, Halena, in Chapel St in South Yarra. It was our wedding anniversary and me being me, had to talk shop at the table. I declared that I wanted to have a crack at another magazine and after a bit of pitching and talking, I got the go ahead and we brought out the first edition in March of 2011.
