In this issue

Nico Rosberg needed to win the Belgian Grand Prix. He did so.
Lewis Hamilton needed to limit the damage after starting from the back of the gird. He did so.
Mercedes, at their ultra-fast and bullet proof best, handed their drivers cars that enabled Rosberg to cruise to a victory which re-ignites his 2016 F1 world title ambitions. At the same time Hamilton was able to, tentatively scathe his way through the field to third place.
The difference in the standings between the Silver Arrows pair is a mere nine points, with reigning Hamilton ahead.
The other stories on the day were Daniel Ricciardo finishing second at a venue where he thrives and his trademark smile making a welcome appearance on the podium.
His Red Bull teammate Max Verstappen qualified second (behind Rosberg) but clashed with both Ferrari drivers on the opening lap as the field scrambled into Turn 1. Later in the race he irked Kimi Raikkonen with a defensive move which had the Finn spitting fire.
This issue has it all from Spa-Francorchamps, the venue which proves that the great old circuits are the ones that provide memorable and epic battlegrounds for Formula 1 to captivate.
