SOUND BITE! Hi Jay-Jay,
I live in an apartment in the city. I hear police sirens on the regular and there's constant traffic noise, including revved-up cars and noisy motorbikes - basically, the general atmosphere of a city. I expected this when I moved in and I accept it.
My neighbour, who is in her sixties, is constantly griping about noise coming from my apartment. Her bedroom backs on to the wall that my TV is on and she is always complaining about how loud it is. It's not loud! I don't have a sound bar and I listen to it at a normal level, but she regularly texts me from next door, saying things (in capitals) like, "CAN YOU PLEASE TURN DOWN YOUR TV?" It's also worth noting that she does that at 7 or 8pm.
