They split seven years ago, but it seems Today host Karl Stefanovic getting ready to face off yet again with his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn - except this time it's all about who can pull off the biggest and best home renovation!

According to a well-placed source, it's looking like Karl, 48, and wife Jasmine, 39, might just have the edge after the couple lodged a grand plan proposal to their local council to bulldoze their unrenovated digs on Sydney's lower north shore and build a brand spanking new multistorey, five-bedroom, five bathroom home, complete with a pool room, spa and swimming pool, which comes with a hefty price tag of $4.5 million!
