With holidays on the horizon, you might be looking to adopt lighter, fresher habits to help you feel your best during the sunny days ahead. So we’ve teamed up with Slimming World to bring you a summer eating plan packed with fresh, satisfying, sunshine-inspired dishes. And you could lose up to 7lb* while enjoying delicious food that keeps you feeling full and energised.
HOW IT WORKS
1 Choose one breakfast, one lunch and one dinner each day. You can repeat any meals you enjoy.
2 Slimming World’s healthy eating plan, Food Optimising, has helped millions of people to lose weight over the past 56 years. It’s a flexible plan that's centred around ‘Free Foods’, foods that are lower in energy density, meaning they have fewer calories per gram, and highly satisfying, so you can fill up on them for fewer calories.
3 There are more than 350 basic Free Foods, which can be eaten freely to satisfy your appetite with no need to weigh or measure them. These include rice, pasta, noodles, grains, poultry, fish, lean meats, plant-based proteins, eggs, beans, lentils, fruit and veg. We've built lots of these into this plan, so you won't go hungry!
4 To ensure you're getting a balanced and nutritious diet, you can also enjoy measured amounts of foods that provide calcium, fibre and healthy fats. We've incorporated a variety of these throughout this plan for you.
5 To support your calcium intake, enjoy at least one calcium choice each day. This could be: 350ml skimmed milk, 250ml semi-skimmed milk, 400ml plain unsweetened soya/almond milk with added calcium, 30g full-fat hard cheese, 40g reduced-fat hard cheese, 3 Dairylea triangles or 2 mini Babybels. Enjoy these as part of your meals, in drinks or on their own.
