With its final series set to air this autumn, we revisit some classic moments from the BBC's hit comedy Ghosts

Series three showed us siblings aren't always trustworthy. But when the sad truth of cheery Kitty's backstory was revealed, there were laughs, too. These came in the form of her noble Georgian family being recast as the other ghosts. We saw shady Julian as a vicar, Robin in a frock coat and powdered wig and Pat, complete with his '80s moustache and glasses, as her aunt!

Spirited Singalong 

Bringing a sense of calm and unity during a frantic family Christmas, Alison sits at the piano and starts to sing In The Bleak Midwinter. Thomas appears and begins to harmonise, soon joined by the other Button House ghosts - even those down in the plague pit chime in. Alison is so delighted with the reaction, she even rewards a surprised Thomas with a kiss! This scene in 2020's Christmas Special added some tear-jerking poignancy to the show, airing as it did during our first Christmas lockdown.
