VENICE FILM FESTIVAL 2025

The 82nd Venice International Film Festival concluded on September 6, drawing the curtains on eleven days where cinema and contemporary discourse converged on the storied Lido. Under the guidance of jury president Alexander Payne and four additional juries, the biennale unveiled a programme that combined celebrated auteurs with daring new voices. Among the year's most anticipated premieres were Yorgos Lanthimos’ Bugonia, Noah Baumbach’s Jay Kelly and Sofia Coppola’s first documentary, Marc by Sofia, a portrait of designer Marc Jacobs that debuted outside competition.
