Roso Golla Clan Bong and Its Luscious Fantasy

Hidden within its doors was a culinary secret, carefully guarded by the shop's owner, Mr. Nabin Chandra Das. Unbeknownst to the world, Mr. Das had spent years perfecting the art of making the city's most famous delicacy - the Rosogolla. Passed down through generations, his family recipe was said to possess a magical touch, transforming simple ingredients into heavenly spheres of sweetness. With its soft, spongy texture and a burst of sugary syrup, the Rosogolla had become a symbol of comfort and pure joy. Little did Mr. Das know, that the world was about to discover the magic that lay within his humble sweet shop, forever altering the fate of his cherished creation. Journalist Debjani Aich writes about the celebrity sweet delicacy called Rosogolla!

"Arre laga kaisa (how did it feel)?" screamed the trainers.

"Rasgulla jaisa (as good as rasgulla), revert the trainees, beaming, sounding far louder than the question.

The words of inexorable excitement resonate in the Rocky Mountains, dealing a direct onslaught on freezing silence December sheer all the of late evening. The thrill overpowers the fatigue of six days of hard life at the rock-climbing camp. There's no better alternative to compare the exhilaration than the succulent savoury that the Bong inherits in legacy and the world embraces in love.

A GREEN WARRIOR in the heart of the Thar

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Jitendra Solanki during a training programme on ecotourism organised by the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) and was instantly taken in by his deep love for the desert landscape. His knowledge of Rajasthan's wildlife, its resilient people, and the delicate balance that defines this unique ecosystem was truly inspiring. What stood out most was his passion for showcasing a different, more responsible side of Rajasthan, one that celebrates its natural heritage and communities with equal respect and sensitivity. It is for this; we celebrate him today as a Green Warrior.
