MUSK TO REMAIN UNTIL DOGE MISSION CONCLUDES, WHITE HOUSE CONFIRMS

Entrepreneur Elon Musk will stay on as a senior White House adviser to complete his mission with the Department of Government Efficiency, the White House announced, dismissing reports of an imminent departure.

The administration clarified this stance during a press briefing, affirming Musk’s commitment to cutting federal spending and workforce size under President Donald Trump’s directive. For government officials, industry leaders, and taxpayers, this statement resolves speculation about Musk’s role in the cost-cutting initiative.
Musk, tasked with leading DOGE, aims to slash $1 trillion from the federal budget within his 130-day term as a special government employee, a role set to conclude by late May unless extended.
The White House emphasized that both Trump and Musk have agreed he will exit once his objectives are met, countering media claims of an earlier exit. This comes amid DOGE’s aggressive moves, including firing nearly 200,000 federal workers and canceling contracts, actions that have sparked lawsuits and protests.
The initiative, established by Trump’s executive order on his first day, seeks to streamline government operations by July 2026, with Musk overseeing efforts to eliminate waste. Tesla shares rose over 5 percent after the announcement, reversing losses tied to delivery declines, signaling market confidence in his continued involvement.

Elon Musk leads the Department of Government Efficiency with a goal to reduce federal spending by $1 trillion within his 130-day term, a target he has publicly affirmed confidence in achieving. DOGE has already terminated nearly 200,000 federal jobs and cut contracts worth millions, moves the White House credits with saving taxpayers billions. The initiative operates across agencies, targeting inefficiencies in spending and staffing.

AMAZON'S AUTOMATION PLAN COULD REPLACE 600,000 JOBS BY 2033
Amazon is accelerating its shift toward automation across its U.S. operations, in what analysts describe as one of the largest workforce restructurings in the company's history. Internal projections reviewed by multiple industry sources suggest that by 2033, Amazon expects to automate tasks equivalent to more than 600,000 human jobs, effectively reducing hiring needs even as its total output doubles. The long-term plan would see robots, artificial intelligence systems, and machine-learning tools taking over an expanding share of warehouse, logistics, and delivery operations.
