As we enter 2025, Apple will finally achieve a remarkable feat: uniformity across its Mac range by introducing the M4 series chips.

A DECADE OF DIVERSITY

Under the visionary leadership of Steve Jobs, Apple was synonymous with a cohesive design philosophy and a tightly integrated hardware-software ecosystem. However, post-Jobs, especially under Tim Cook, the company diversified its processor lineup to cater to a broader spectrum of users and applications. For over ten years, this strategy meant that different Mac models boasted distinct processors, leading to a fragmented yet versatile ecosystem. While this approach catered to varied performance needs, from the lightweight MacBook Air to the powerhouse Mac Pro, it also introduced complexities in software optimization and user experience consistency.
