At this year's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) keynote on June 5, Apple lifted the lid on exciting new features coming in iOS 17 this fall.
iOS Next Gen: POWERFUL UPDATE BRINGS INNOVATIVE ADDITIONS

Set to be released alongside the launch of the iPhone 15, iOS 17 brings a range of tweaks, fixes, and innovative additions to enhance the user experience and make our devices even more powerful.

INTRODUCING IOS 17

iOS 17 was officially announced and showcased at WWDC 2023, but it is scheduled to be rolled out to iPhones worldwide in the fall, most likely in mid-September. Historically, Apple has been consistent in releasing new versions of iOS in September. Still, developers can get their hands on the software to begin working on new apps and features to take advantage of the update. What's perhaps most significant this time around, however, is that Apple is allowing access to the developer beta without the need for a paid developer membership, opening it up to free developer accounts. This move allows more users to experience the beta version of iOS 17. For those wanting to get involved and experience the beta versions leading up to the official release, there are two options: developer and public betas. Developer betas require registration as an Apple software developer, which can be done through the Apple Developer App. Users need to sign in with their Apple ID and ensure their device is running iOS 16.5 or later. However, it is advisable to wait for the public beta release, as it is generally more stable and suitable for general users and reduces the chances of the update ‘bricking’ your phone. Joining the public beta program requires an Apple ID and can be done on any device. The public beta will likely arrive later in July.
