AI USAGE AT WORK HAS DOUBLED AS ADOPTION EXPANDS ACROSS PROFESSIONS
Techlife News

Artificial intelligence use in the workplace has risen sharply in recent years, with surveys showing that a much larger share of workers now report using Al tools in their daily roles compared with just a few years ago.
-
According to data from polling firms, the share of American employees who say they use artificial intelligence in their jobs at least a few times per year has nearly doubled, while more frequent use has also increased substantially. These trends reflect changes in the software and tools available to workers, as well as broader organizational efforts to integrate Al into operational processes.
The shifts in adoption have not been uniform across sectors, and different types of tools are being used for distinct tasks. Chat interfaces, writing support software, and coding assistants are among the more prominent categories of AI tools being reported by workers who have incorporated them into their day-to-day tasks.
SCALE AND PATTERNS IN WORKPLACE AI ADOPTION
Surveys tracking workplace habits show that the share of U.S. employees who report using artificial intelligence at least occasionally has climbed from around one-fifth several years ago to roughly four-in-ten in more recent measurements. Frequent use — defined as engagement with AI tools multiple times per week — has also grown, with a larger minority of workers incorporating these technologies regularly in their duties.
The data indicate that adoption is concentrated in particular segments of the labor force. Workers in knowledge-based and managerial roles report higher rates of AI use, while roles in frontline service and production industries have generally lagged. Among workers who do use AI tools, interactions with chatbot interfaces such as large language models are the most frequently cited form of engagement, followed by tools that assist with writing, editing, or software development tasks.Bu hikaye Techlife News dergisinin December 20, 2025 baskısından alınmıştır.
