TP-Link Omada EAP725-Wall
PC Pro
|August 2025
Modest performance, but this dual-band Wi-Fi7 AP delivers lots of easily managed features in a palm-sized package

P-Link offers an extensive range of discrete wall-mounted wireless access points (APs), and the EAP725-Wall brings WiFi 7 services into play. Designed for environments such as meeting rooms and hotels looking to provide in-room network services, it has two gigabit downlink ports in its base plus a 2.5GbE passthrough port that provides PoE, allowing it to power extra in-room devices such as IP phones.
At only £100 the EAP725-Wall is great value, but there’s a catch as it doesn’t have a 6GHz radio. It isn’t mandatory for WiFi 7 APs to have this, though, and many other vendors are also offering low cost dual-band models. This BE3600-rated AP offers two spatial streams each for the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands and claims maximum speeds of 688Mbits/sec and 2,882Mbits/sec respectively. The US version has a higher BE5000 rating as it supports the 5GHz 240MHz channels.
It may only be a dual-band AP, but the EAP725-Wall offers plenty of WiFi 7 features including 4K-QAM (quadrature amplitude modulation) and multi-RUs (resource units). The latest firmware version adds support for MLO (multi-link operations), which allows compliant wireless devices to connect over an aggregated link using both bands.
