The franchise is the creation of legendary video game developers Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka. Spanning almost four decades, multiple generations of gamers have looked to Zelda as one of the best action RPG franchises ever. Zelda games have come out on every Nintendo console from the NES all the way to the Nintendo Switch. Classic Zelda games can also be found on the Virtual Console, and some even have been remade or remastered. The latest entry in the franchise, Tears of the Kingdom, is proof that the franchise is continuing to wow and amaze gamers to this very day.
