I have a degree in Architecture, and my love for technology led me to cross architecture and 3D and create an archviz company in 1996. However, my true passion was character creation, and with the 3D tools I learned for archviz, I started making characters. In 2009, I won a major challenge at CGSociety and decided to embrace character creation full-time, working mainly for advertising, games and movies. In 2015 I joined QMx, a company that creates collectible figures for all the major licences. I am a senior 3D artist, sculpting characters and preparing them for production.
07:00am I wake up at 7:00am; I prefer to start early so that I can finish early and still have time for other very important things, such as family! I worked many years as a freelancer, and the discipline of working when you are your own boss can be challenging. I always felt it was important to separate work time from family/leisure time. That makes you appreciate both a lot more. Having kids helped a lot with structuring my schedule. The time between taking them to school and the time they return home is when I can fully focus, perfect for work time.
