The visitors were 2-0 ahead with just four minutes left but two late goals rescued a point for bottom side Ebbsfleet.

Taylor's men were agonisingly close to recording back-to-back wins against relegation rivals after seeing off Braintree in midweek.

"It leaves a sour taste in your mouth when two goals, even one goal, should be enough when there's only seven or eight minutes left to defend," said Taylor. "It should be enough to get a vital three points.

"If we'd been more ruthless defending our goal, we'd probably be halfway up the league.

"As a collective we have to do anything to win a game of football. We need to be better at seeing out games as it's quite evident to see that I need to change something in terms of that mentality.
