BOSS GRAY HAS GOT HIS MOJO BACK AT COLLIERS

NICKY Gray is relishing a return to the dugout after revealing an offer from Ashington ‘ticked a lot of boxes’.

The former Morpeth Town manager has been out of work since January when he left his role as boss of Northern League club Whitley Bay and has received interest from a number of suitors during his time out of the game.

However, Northern Premier League East side Ashington became the first club to truly pique his interest and after holding talks with the Woodhorn Lane hierarchy over the last fortnight, his appointment was officially confirmed earlier this week.

Gray took charge of the Colliers for the first time in yesterday’s visit of Stocksbridge Park Steels and he revealed he is looking forward to getting his mojo back with his new club.

“For me, they are a club on the up with a great ground, a good pitch and some very good people working behind the scenes,” Gray told The NLP.
