British Cycling reveals plan to transform UK racing

New competition framework launched to revive racing across disciplines

British Cycling has launched a wide-ranging new competition framework as it looks to revive a flagging domestic racing scene.

The plan, published last week, looks at all aspects of a cyclist's engagement with the sport, from discovering it as a newcomer to racing at the highest level of domestic competition.

The framework is the result of months of consultation with members, riders and communities. Through it, British Cycling is aiming to deliver a “simpler, more fun and effective competition structure across all disciplines by 2029”.
