Are self-driving cars a step in the right direction, or something that can't be trusted?

They might sound like something from a science fiction film, but driverless cars are already a reality in some countries, including the US and China. They are set to arrive in the UK in the next few years, with the Government suggesting that this could happen in 2027. Andrew Macdonald, from the taxi firm Uber, told BBC News that the company was "ready to launch robotaxis in the UK" as soon as the law made it possible.
