American company Shield AI has teamed up with JSW Defence, a subsidiary of India's JSW Group, to produce the V-BAT drone locally for the Indian Armed Forces.

This collaboration involves a $90 million investment by JSW Group over two years, with $65 million dedicated in the first year to set up a manufacturing facility, train the workforce, and build a local supply chain. The facility will also offer flight operator training, maintenance, and repair services, enhancing India's defence ecosystem.
