We believed it was about time to interview him because he has a fascinating history, a unique photographic style, and a wide portfolio.

When did you know you wanted to be a professional photographer? What drew you to fashion in particular? 

I used to work in the hospitality industry with Marriott and from there I moved to a luxury cruise ship working in the F&B department. So while travelling around the world I wanted to capture different places and counties I was travelling, so I bought a point and shoot camera. I slowly started enjoying taking pics and got interested in photography. At that time, it was mostly street and nature photography. However, I realised I was taking a lot of portraits while doing street photography and then from there I knew I wanted to be a photographer but had no idea what and how to go about it. I left my job at the age of 32. That's when I first started with photography and I moved to Bangalore from Calicut (my home town). I was just learning by myself and trying to understand what I enjoy shooting. In this period of time I did all kinds of photography, but I liked fashion photography and I enjoyed shooting garments. Hence I decided to become a fashion photographer.
