Time has arrived for champions to 'raise their game'

REGARDLESS of the result in their New Year's Eve derby at Sheffield Steeldogs, Ryan Aldridge says Leeds Knights will enter 2026 “wiping the slate clean”.

Having impressively dispatched hosts Hull Seahawks 6-1 in the first of three festive Yorkshire derbies on Boxing Day, the Knights were unable to back that up with a home win against the Steeldogs, who headed back down the M1 with a deserved 6-4 win.

Today gives the Knights an opportunity to dish out some swift payback, while also hoping to even the score in the head-to-head series between NIHL National’s second and third-placed teams.
