The craft beer bubble is bursting

More than 40 small breweries have gone bust in the past year, with rising costs and faltering consumer demand leaving many independent producers unable to stay afloat, according to a new report.

Once hailed as a vibrant start-up success story, Britain's craft brewing scene is facing a sobering reckoning as financial pressures wipe out dozens of operators.

Many of the 43 insolvencies are small, independent craft beer producers, said accountancy group UHY Hacker Young.
