Still no light at end of tunnel for new rail station

Construction of White Rose Station remains on indefinite hold

Work on the White Rose Railway Station, between Morley and Cottingley, was paused on March 20, 2024, following an unforeseen increase in project costs.

Now, the Yorkshire Evening Post understands that the project remains on indefinite hiatus with no restart date currently in sight.

The new £26.5m station, located on the Transpennine route to Manchester via Huddersfield, was supposed to open in early 2024.
