Governor listens sympathetically, issues instructions to VC and Chandigarh Finance Secretary on spot
Deputy Mayor of Mohali Municipal Corporation and senior Congress leader Kuljit Singh Bedi today met the Governor of Punjab and appealed for immediate attention to two of the most pressing public demands of the city.
He submitted two separate memorandums to the Governor, seeking resolution of issues related to public transport and higher education in Mohali.Through the first memorandum, Deputy Mayor Bedi demanded the establishment of a college or a regional center affiliated with Punjab University in Mohali. He stated that Mohali, being an integral part of the Tricity and one of the fastest-developing cities in Punjab, still lacks any college affiliated with Punjab University.
