Plymouth's Cleverley is nominated for award

PLYMOUTH Argyle head coach Tom Cleverley, inset, is one of the four contenders to win the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month award for September.
The 36-year-old former Manchester United and England midfielder was appointed by the Pilgrims in June and saw his new side lose all four of their league games during August. However, they responded to that hugely disappointing start by winning three of their four fixtures in September.
First, Argyle beat Stockport County 4-2 at Home Park, which was followed by a dramatic against-all-odds 3-2 away defeat of Luton Town, despite a red card early in the second half for Joe Edwards, while Cleverley also later sent-off.
