Injuries hit but Torquay pick up another victory

T'S going to be a long old slog of a National League season for Torquay United if players keep getting injured.

But on Tuesday night, with Louis Dennis and Sonny Blu Lo-Everton added to the injury list, the Gulls were still too good for visitors AFC Totton, even after Dylan Morgan limped off with an ankle problem at half time - and didn’t reappear.

The injury list already included Sonny Fish (who is yet to kick a ball in anger for his new team) and Callum Dolan, and the addition of Dennis, Lo-Everton and Morgan, will leave the squad really stretched for a bank holiday weekend that brings with it two games in three days.

Morgan was magic on the left hand side in the first half against Totton, scoring his first goal of the season with a great strike from just outside the box. But when he hurt his ankle challenging for the ball, the tricky winger couldn’t run the problem off and his game ended at the break.
