DON’T actually know if they’re doing BOGOFs on MRI scans at the moment, but so many people I know seem to be having one, including me.
-
My first and last one on my spine was in 2015. I was all right about it until my sister, the family harbinger of doom, said “ooh, you’d better take a Valium,” going on to describe her somewhat traumatic experiences, which were akin to being buried alive by a man with a pneumatic drill directly overhead!
To be honest, getting into the hospital gown was the worst part. It was apparently a newer version of the old buttock-flasher designed to protect your modesty which was a cross between doing the Hokey-Cokey and putting an Ikea bed together without an Allen key.
Anyway, on that occasion I was in and out in under 15 minutes. It was light, bright, warm and comfortable. I could see my legs at all times (note to self - book a leg wax), and it wasn't much noisier that having a bread machine and electric mixer going at the same time in the kitchen!

Education needs to lift children up, not weigh them down
OF the two interventions last month from grandees of the New Labour project, only one is - in my view - worth reading: and, sadly for Tony Blair, it is not his 5,700-word opus on everything he believes has gone wrong since he left office.
