WRU issue response after the Dragons statement
Western Mail
|November 21, 2025
THE Welsh Rugby Union have issued a statement in the wake of the Dragons hitting out over union plans over central control.
-
The Gwent-based side pulled no punches on Wednesday with a statement of their own, stating that the WRU's demand for complete control of the professional game is unacceptable to them.
That statement backed up WalesOnline's exclusive report earlier in the week, where it was reported Dragons chiefs walked out of a meeting with the union representatives after just 10 minutes.
