Worst fears confirmed for Cardiff as King is ruled out for season

CARDIFF City midfielder Eli King has been ruled out for the season, with Brian Barry-Murphy stating the players in the dressing room were "sombre" upon hearing the news.
-
The former Wales youth international (pictured) was earmarked to start against Cheltenham Town in the Carabao Cup, however an injury in training at the weekend put paid to his outing against the Robins - and the rest of his season.
Barry-Murphy was visibly moved when speaking about the 22-year-old's rotten injury news.
"Eli would have definitely started based on what he has done.
"But his injury in training on Sunday has cast a shadow over our preparation, really.
"It's a pretty sombre dressing room."
Barry-Murphy said King twisted his knee in a training game and their "worst fears were confirmed on Tuesday evening."
