A BRIDGEND secondary school, which marked its 60th anniversary this year, has been listed among the top 10% of schools in England and Wales for its GCSE results.

Archbishop McGrath Catholic High School in Brackla, which opened in September 1965, has consistently been among the top performing schools at GCSE when compared to similar schools in recent years, according to education data analysis platform ALPS.
Now, the school has received the ALPS Platinum Award, a national measure recognising exceptional GCSE value-added performance, ranking in the top 10% of schools for pupil progress.
