Tidy! Gavin & Stacey fans buy house made famous in show
Western Mail
|October 22, 2025
ONE of the iconic homes used in the hit TV show, Gavin & Stacey has been sold to a family of super fans who plan on allowing people to stay overnight at the property in Barry.
While all of the characters in the sitcom are unforgettable, one of the most memorable was the West family's next-door neighbour Doris. Played by Margaret John, who died in 2011, Doris appeared in the first three seasons of the show and featured in the first Christmas special in 2008.
Returning to our screens in 2019, the house on Trinity Street in Barry was used as Gavin & Stacey's home with their children after it was handed down to them after Doris' death.
The Christmas special six years ago featured the home heavily when Uncle Bryn almost ruined the Christmas dinner.
After the two-bedroom midterrace property in Barry went up for sale in July this year, the Molloy family received the keys to Doris' home across the road from Bryn, last Saturday.
