Tandy looks to increase his selection pool

STEVE Tandy is targeting Welsh-qualified players outside of Wales in order to increase the quality available to him and his selection committee.

Wales have utilised this approach in the past, with Blair Murray the most recent example of a golden nugget found outside of the country.
Tandy named his 39-strong collective for the upcoming autumn Tests, with Rhys Carre the headline inclusion in the squad.
Amid the Welsh Rugby Union's proposal to reduce the number of teams to two, there has been a lot of conversation around whether there is actually enough talent in Wales to support four fully professional teams.
