Tandy delighted with his trio of new coaches

WALES head coach Steve Tandy has been left impressed with the new additions to his back room team ahead of the autumn internationals, with three new coaches making an immediate impression.
-
Ex-internationals Rhys Patchell, Dan Lydiate and Duncan Jones were confirmed as new additions to Tandy’s team last week, with the trio joining assistants Matt Sherratt and Danny Wilson in a new-look coaching setup for a challenging autumn campaign, which will see Wales take on Argentina, Japan, New Zealand and South Africa.
Patchell and Lydiate - who won 22 and 72 caps for Wales respectively during their playing careers - both hung up their boots at the end of last season and have started the current campaign on Filo Tiatia’s staff at the Dragons.
Former prop Jones, who made 57 Wales appearances before retiring from rugby in 2015, has been involved in the Ospreys coaching setup since 2018 and has spent the last five years as the region’s forwards coach.
After welcoming the former internationals into his team for his maiden campaign as Wales coach, Tandy has been impressed with what they've offered already, admitting there is a “really good dynamic” within his back room staff.
