Sheehan delighted by Franco's response to being left out of side

ALAN Sheehan says he's delighted by the attitude shown by Goncalo Franco in recent weeks, and says he held a frank conversation before dropping the midfielder for the visit of Millwall last weekend.
Franco was left on the bench for the 1-1 draw with the Lions, having previously enjoyed a somewhat patchy run of form in midfield.
It was his first omission from a Championship starting lineup for the Swans since February, but he responded by marking his return to the starting lineup with a stunning volley in the win over Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night.
It was by no means a vintage performance from the 24-year-old, but it perhaps offered an encouraging indication he could soon be returning to top form.
