Met Office widens snow warning in Wales update

A YELLOW weather warning for snow and ice has expanded across Wales as the Met Office warns of travel disruption and a potential threat of injuries.

The snow and ice warning has been issued for 16 parts of Wales over a 12-hour period from midnight last night until noon today.

Weather warnings have been put in place across the UK, with heavier snow expected to fall in Scotland and spread southwards. As much as 5cm of snow is possible in areas including north Wales, whereas 1-2cm is expected for other areas across the country.
