Hospice to close amid 'financial pressures'

A HOSPICE opened nearly 18 years ago has announced it will be closing down at the end of October 2025.

Shalom House Hospice in St Davids caters for the whole of Pembrokeshire and provides a range of services including day care, symptom management, nursing care and more for those with a life-limiting illness.
‘The charity was set up in 1997 after it was given a house in Nun Street, St Davids. Then, after a fundraising effort, the house was adapted into a hospice, with Shalom House finally opening its doors to patients on November 23, 2007.
‘The charity says it has “no alternative” to closing.
It comes after St David's Hospice announced the impending closure of its wards in Holyhead and Anglesey.
