CARDIFF City boss Brian Barry-Murphy has been “blown away” by Isaak Davies and hailed him a player of “extraordinary potential”

The academy product (pictured), who turned 24 yesterday, has battled injuries in recent seasons but has featured prominently under Barry-Murphy, often operating in wide areas despite being a natural striker.

And the Bluebirds boss believes Davies’ dedication, pace and resilience set him apart from others in the squad.

“Isaak Davies, he’s blown me away, really, in terms of what he's done in training and the potential that we see within him,’ said BarryMurphy.

“His attitude is incredible. 1 was aware of his potential but also of his complexities in terms of injuries.

“He's really a central striker doing a job for us out wide.

“He is the player of the highest potential and I’m sure he will fulfil it when he gets that confidence and extended run in the team.”
