AVE Reddin has warned Wales' players against strike action this autumn, insisting such a scenario would have such dire financial consequences and could force a reduction of teams.

The Welsh Rugby Union's director of rugby and elite performance's preferred model for the professional game is a reduction from four to two teams with significant central control.

Last month the Welsh Rugby Players Association issued a statement voicing their disapproval at a reduction to two teams, claiming it would lead to an exodus of players.

Welsh skipper Jac Morgan has also reportedly told the WRU he would leave Wales if the Ospreys ceased to exist.
