Perfect start continues as top-order shines again

NORTH Perrott made it three wins from three, and three maximum 20-point hauls, as they continued their perfect start to the West of England Premier League Somerset Division campaign.

Visiting Shapwick & Polden, Perrott produced a good run chase despite only having ten players to bat with. That looked a way off however as Shapwick opted to bat and soon found themselves on 25-4 as Freddie Wolfenden (4-42) tore through the top-order with three quick wickets.
The innings was salvaged by a fifth-wicket partnership of 118 and then a ninth-wicket stand of 65 before Shapwick somehow managed to see out their 50 overs on 243-9. Pawan Watagedara managed a couple of wickets alongside Wolfenden’s haul.
