Draw was a fair result, concedes boss Savage

Neither side could stamp their authority on the game, with the home side enjoying a good first-half before tactical changes flipped the script in the second period.

- ROBBIE Savage admitted Forest Green Rovers' goalless draw away to Braintree on Saturday was "a fair result", writes Rhys Anderson.

Savage said: “I think it was a fair result. I thought they should have been in front after the first half. We can’t play any worse than that, but it was 0-0. We were much better in the second half, the subs impacted the game, and if the game had gone on longer, I think we'd have gone on to win it.”

Forest Green are unbeaten after six matches, although they have played only one team currently in the top half, and they surrendered top spot to Rochdale on Saturday.
