The organisers of drag show hit back at vandals
Wells Journal
|December 04, 2025
DRAG performances have become increasingly popular in the West Country with more and more performers heading here to sold out audiences.
Organisers of the drag show Absolutely Dragulous were outraged to discover their publicity poster had been vandalised
TV shows like Ru Paul's Drag Race have helped raise the profile of the drag culture and genre, helping people realise the artists are multi-talented, hardworking professionals who entertain and delight audiences around the country.
They make their own costumes, do their own hair and make up and write their own material.
That is why people have been dismayed and outraged by vandalism in Shepton Mallet where posters for a popular drag act have been vandalised and defaced.
